Last month, October 2008, there were a total of 399 residences and condominiums sold in Lafayette, Louisiana. This number, however, does not include the number of For Sale By Owner properties. The figure that I have compiled comes from the realtor association's MLS. The median home price was $152,250.
According to the National Association of Realtors, for the month of September 2008, a total of 5,180,000 homes were sold. This number is up 5.5% in comparison to the month of August 2008. When compared to last year at this time, the September homes sales rose by 1.4%.
